CHRISTIAN ACTS OF KINDNESS
God gives each of us our own special gifts, such as talents, our caring, and our faith.
Regardless of our talents, we can all share one special thing with people - our kindness.
Sunday, February 12, all members of Piperton UMC are asked to donate eyeglasses, sunglasses, or funds to prevent blindness around the world. Just imagine what it would be like to be able to see again. Helping someone would be such an act of kindness.
All donations will go to the Project 20/20 mission program. Project 20/20 provides both sunglasses and eyeglasses to medical teams providing free service in countries where there is little or no medical care for the poor.
February 12th you can:
- Donate new or used sunglasses to prevent blindness from intense sunlight, wind, and dust.
- Donate used eyeglasses to improve vision.
- Donate funds for eye exams (every $5.00 provides an exam and glasses to one person).
Because of support like yours, Project 20/20 has been able to help over 36,000 people since it started in 1993.
Your act of kindness will improve someone's vision and change their life within the next year. Such a blessing!
Bring your donation to the church on Sunday, February 12, 2011.
